What is RSS? |
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a XML file that delivers headlines and story summaries from earlywarning straight to your computer. The feed is updated every time a new story is added which means you can keep up-to-date with our latest reports without having to revisit the site. From the feed you can click on any headline to open an article. To use this service you will need an RSS reader or aggregator which allows you to display and subscribe to the RSS feeds. Some of these readers are free while others have to be purchased. Once you have installed your reader click the orange RSS button on the left hand side of the earlywarning home page. Setting up a feed differs from one aggregator to another, but it usually involves copying the URL of the feed (in the address bar on your browser) and pasting it into the reader. If you use the Firefox Web browser, you can read the latest earlywarning headlines in the form of an active bookmark. If you are currently using Firefox, simply click the orange icon in the bottom right of the status bar to add earlywarning as an active bookmark now.
